We can say that Toyota Auris – it is Corolla in hatchback manufactured especially for the European market.
The first generation of the car was presented in October 2006 at the Paris Motor Show. In February 2007, the Auris officially went on sale, and since then it has gained immense popularity among consumers. The compact hatchback, available in three- and five-door variant was equipped with several petrol powertrains with volume of 1.33 to 1.8 liters and three turbodiesel engines in volume from 1.4 to 2.2 liters.
The most powerful engine was the 2.2-liter four-cylinder 177-horsepower diesel engine, aggregated with a six-speed manual transmission. He clocked a compact hatchback to 100 km / h in just 8.1 seconds and at the same time distinguished by good profitability.
The second generation of the car was presented in August 2012. Japanese hatchback rose slightly in length, but it was lower, but remained the same as before in width. Ergonomics, design and interior decoration were improved with 2011 Toyota Tacoma headlights, but the power units have undergone only minor changes. Also, as before, there are four petrol engines (1.33 – 1.8 liters), two diesel engines (1.4 and 1.8 liter) and a hybrid propulsion system with a 1.8-liter gasoline engine.
